Entertainment City – A Look At PAGCOR’s Premiere Gambling Complex In 2024
Entertainment City also known as E-City is a massive entertainment and gaming complex under development by PAGCOR in the Bay City area of Manila, Philippines. There are four integrated resorts that make up the 8km area: City of Dreams, Solaire Resort & Casino, Resorts World Bayshore, and Okada Manila. Each resort offers multiple casino games along with other nightly entertainment giving it the name. E-City is now open to the public but there is still some construction, completion of all the resorts is expected by 2024.
The Vision
PAGCOR wanted a Las Vegas like Strip of casinos in the heart of Manila City so they came up with the idea of zoning the project in the bay area where other casinos were already located. Once the spot was zoned, PAGCOR made sure to only include casino resorts that agreed to invest 1 billion USD or more into their facility. There are also plans for a PAGCOR tower to go into E-City, a 2,182-foot-tall viewing tower similar to Seattle’s Space Needle, if constructed it will be one of the tallest towers in the world. For the past 50 years the Bay area has been the heart of Manila and with the new addition of E-City, it will surely be the tourist destination for many more years to come.
